Turquoise and its blue-hued cousins are my favorite colors—you can see it throughout my Mirror Mirror Trend Boutiques—and I’ve found that as a trend, both in fashion and in home décor, it’s always spot on. My newest blue obsession? Blue (yes blue!) orchids. I’ve always had a passion for orchids—what amazing plants!—but when I spied them in this unusual hue, I was intrigued. They’re usually Phalaenopsis orchids, but it’s a quiet mystery as to where they come from. Most people think they’re somehow died blue—therefore they’re nothing you’d really see in nature—but regardless, I think they’re absolutely stunning, and a striking must-have for everyone!
