The list of judges continues to grow for the Worth Avenue Halloween Costume Contest to be hosted by landlord Burt Handelsman in the Gucci Courtyard on Saturday.
Fashion retailer Barbara Katz will be ranking the entries, along with beauty and lifestyle “futurologist” Jeanine Recckio of The Mirror Mirror Imagination Group in Via de Mario, who publishes the Crystal Ball Trend Report. Richard Halpern, a resident of the Gucci Courtyard, will be a judge, as will Cloud 10 owner Pearl Wortham; Nancy Mizelle of Commerce Bank; and Editor Pat Thomas of the Palm Beach Daily News.
Shop owner Sherry Frankel, president of the Worth Avenue Association and the event’s “witchtress of ceremonies,” lauded co-sponsor Commerce Bank and acknowledged the generosity of The Variety Club children’s charity and the participation of Palm Beach Police Department.
Registration will be from 11 to 11:30 a.m. in the entrance to the Gucci Courtyard, in the 200 block of Worth Avenue. The contest begins at noon. The judges will name the winners in three categories: infants to age 2; ages 3 to 6; and ages 7 to 10.
Winners will receive treats donated by merchants such as Neiman Marcus, Chanel, St. John, Ta-boó, the Garden Café, Amici, Mackenzie-Childs, Polo Ralph Lauren, Cloud 10, Sherry Frankel’s Melangerie, BonPointe, Mirror Mirror, Margaritaville, Vivi’s, Grande Armée, DKRA, Tourneau, Robert Patrick, and Wachovia Bank.
For information, call Frankel, 655-1996.
